Rheinländerin, seit 1974 in den schottischen Highlands tief verwurzelt. Jahrzehntelang als Konferenzdolmetscherin/ technische Übersetzerin gearbeitet. Mit meinem verstorbenen Mann habe ich lange auf schottischen Jagdsportgütern gelebt und bin daher ausgiebig vertraut mit dem heutigen Landleben und wie die Menschen früher hier gelebt haben. Mein jahrelanges, breitgefächertes Studium (BA Honours, BSc Honours, MSc) hat mir tiefgreifende Kenntnisse von Fauna und Flora, Geschichte, Vorgeschichte und des modernen Lebens vermittelt. Unerschütterliche Begeisterung für unsere zauberhafte und vielerorts dramatische Landschaft. Privattouren zu den beeindruckenden Piktensteinen des 6.-9. Jhdts, Leuchttürmen im Norden des schottischen Festlands sowie Touren auf Skye - in Partnerschaft mit Frank van Duivenbode. Meine Lieblingstouren: Schlossgärten, alte Waldbestände und andere botanische Kostbarkeiten. Sollten Sie schottische Vorfahren haben, fahren wir Sie gern dorthin, wo sie gelebt haben. Auf Wunsch setzen wir Sie auch gern mit Genealogen in Verbindung. Falls Sie in den schottischen Highlands den Bund fürs Leben schließen möchten, führen wir Sie gern auf eine Erkundungsreise.

Raised in Germany, I have been very much at home in Scotland since my marriage in 1974. Spent more than two decades living on remote sporting estates with my (late) Highland (head stalker/gamekeeper) husband and family in Argyll, the Borders and Caithness, working in broadcasting, marketing and as conference interpreter and technical translator. In latter years, living in beautiful Sutherland, I much enjoyed studying Scotland’s history, archaeology, flora and fauna in three degree courses. My heart is firmly committed to the Highlands, and I enjoy sharing some of the region's secrets with passengers from all over the world. My tours are peppered with topical snippets of information and grounded in thorough research. In partnership with Frank van Duivenbode, I can offer you tours of castle- and botanic gardens, ancient woodlands, coastal lighthouses as well as tours of the legendary island of Skye.
