Brian Ó hEadhra as Tour Highland is a premier tour guiding service dedicated to sharing the authentic culture, history, and landscapes of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Founded and led by Brian Ó hEadhra, an accredited Highlands of Scotland Tour Guide Association (HOSTGA) guide, experienced musician, and cultural expert, Tour Highland offers travellers a truly immersive way to experience Scotland’s rich heritage.

Brian brings over 35 years of expertise in Gaelic arts, music, and Highland cultural development to his tours, combining his honours degree in Irish Folklore & English with extensive training in tour guiding and Gaelic language. As a passionate advocate for Gaelic traditions, Brian offers visitors an unparalleled insight into Scotland’s folklore, music, and history, ensuring every tour is both meaningful and memorable.

In addition to running Tour Highland, Brian works as a freelance experiential and luxury driver guide with Wilderness Scotland, crafting bespoke journeys that showcase the best of the Highlands and Islands. He is also the Director of the Traditional Music Forum of Scotland, where he leads efforts to support and promote Scotland’s vibrant traditional music sector, fostering connections between artists, communities, and audiences.

Brian’s distinguished career includes serving as Creative Director of the Blas Festival, a major celebration of Gaelic music and culture, and as the national Gaelic Arts & Culture Officer with Creative Scotland and Bòrd na Gàidhlig. He is also an Ambassador with Highland Tourism CIC, reflecting his commitment to sustainable and respectful tourism practices throughout the region.

Over the years, Brian has worked as a cultural consultant and trainer for organisations such as VisitScotland, the Scottish Government, the National Trust for Scotland, Highland Council, and NatureScot. His expertise has shaped policies and programmes that celebrate and preserve Scotland’s unique cultural and natural heritage.
