Based in the Highland capital, Inverness, I have been a tour guide, walking guide and trip leader since 2001. Up until now my work has taken me to 35 countries and I’m still counting!
I have a passion for exploring remote and wild places and here in the Highlands we’re so lucky as there’s plenty to choose from.
I delight in sharing the glories of my native Scotland, walking through mountains and glens, along sea cliffs and beaches, around castles and towns. In all areas my enthusiasm, understanding of the local history, culture, flora and fauna plus my irrepressible sense of fun ensure a great and memorable holiday experience.
I’m happy to organise walking tours for one day or more and I also driver guide throughout the Highlands.
I speak conversational German and French, entry level Portuguese and a smattering of Swahili, as I worked in Tanzania some decades ago. To be honest, there has not yet been a call for me to speak Swahili in Scotland!
