I have been living in Scotland for 30 years, 25 of which I spent in Edinburgh where I trained as a guide with the STGA and guided groups all over Scotland, coach tours and bespoke tours as a driver-guide in own vehicle. For a while I specialised in history, farming groups and whisky distilleries, but I am interested in everything! (except fashion). 5 years ago my husband and I moved to the beautiful tiny neighbouring island of Skye, the Isle of Raasay. It is a little bit paradise on earth..... I still love to accompany guests on coach tours and tell them a bit about everything - or tailor it to their particular interest.

 

Vor 30 Jahren bin ich nach Schottland gezogen und verbrachte die ersten 25 Jahre in der wunderbaren Stadt Edinburgh, wo ich auch das Training als STGA guide absolviert habe und dann als Fremdenführer ganz Schottland bereiste, in Bussen hauptsächlich aber auch als driver-guide für private Reisen. Eine Zeitlang habe ich mich konzentriert auf Reisen mit Bauern und Whiskyliebhabern, viele Reisen auch mit christlichen Gruppen, aber mein Hauptinteresse galt immer der Geschichte. Im Grunde genommen bin ich an absolut ALLEM interessiert und plaudere mit den Gästen über alles, von jedwelchem Interessengebiet ein bisschen, von Wirtschaft über Geologie, von Archäologie über das Alltägliche. Apropos alltägliches: vor 5 Jahren bin ich mit meinem Mann auf die kleine paradiesische Insel Raasay (Nachbarinsel von Skye) gezogen, und die Frage “wovon leben denn die Leute”  kann ich jetzt durch die eigene Erfahrung bestens beantworten.
